MCP Collaborative is a Philadelphia-based company that designs team-building programs and experiences to strengthen workplace culture.

We believe that intentional investment in team building leads to stronger communication, deeper understanding, and more effective collaboration– resulting in higher engagement and retention. We partner closely with small businesses to understand their goals and deliver practical tools that teams can use right away. Long-standing client relationships allow us to measure progress over time and create meaningful, lasting impact.

TEAM BUILDING SERVICES AND OFFERINGS

MCP Collaborative delivers human skills training designed for small businesses and intimate groups of 10–40 people. We help teams strengthen the skills that matter most at work: communication, conflict navigation, trust-building, problem-solving, and accountability.

Leaders consistently tell us that morale and workplace culture are the biggest drivers of employee retention. That is where we come in. We partner closely with each client to understand their people, their challenges, and their goals. We then design a customized experience that fits the ethos of the organization and meets the moment they are in.

What truly sets MCP Collaborative apart is our focus on small-group experiences. These settings create the psychological safety needed for honest conversation, meaningful connection, and real growth. Participants do not just learn concepts - they share experiences, build trust, and leave with skills they can immediately put into practice.

MEET MELANIE

Melanie entered the culture building space in the last 7 years. Her extensive background leading groups has greatly informed her practice and given her the skills to work in a variety of settings and to understand what it means to move a group forward.

Melanie was in the education field for over 15 years, both as a classroom teacher and as a program coordinator. Before starting her own business, Melanie worked at JEVS Human Services as an Educational Counselor. Prior to that, Melanie worked at the Anti-Defamation League in New York City, creating and facilitating diversity curriculum. In the years prior to the ADL, Melanie was a teacher both in Boston and New York, after receiving her Masters in Education from Lesley University. Melanie has her BA in Psychology from Duke University.

  • As a growing company, we are committed to creating new ways for our team to connect and develop new skills outside of the workspace. For our annual off-site, we partnered with Melanie to facilitate team-building activities. I was incredibly impressed with how she was able to take our vision for the day and make it a reality. It was clear from the planning phase to the live event that Melanie has a natural gift for leading and bringing people together. We are grateful that we were able to find such a wonderful partner to help bring our team together and look forward to working with Melanie again in the future.

Melanie is adaptable, has great connection with our employees and can utilize the surrounding environment into her activities. Melanie is professional and a pleasure to work with from initial planning to execution. I highly recommend Melanie and look forward to working with her on future outings!

  • I run a small mental health practice in Philadelphia, and each year we invite someone to lead our annual retreat who can help our team grow in ways we haven’t previously explored. It is not easy to meaningfully challenge an experienced group of psychotherapists around team connection and communication, but Melanie did exactly that. She brought a calm, open, warm demeanor to the work and was organized and easy to collaborate with from start to finish. The retreat led to conversations and creative ways of thinking that stayed with us, and we’ve found ourselves returning to the work she led again and again in our supervision groups throughout the year. We truly look forward to working with her again.
